From Susan F, who has been so devoted to our cause and has ensured that our boxes continue to go overseas -
"Thanks so all who donated Fall/Thanksgiving cards. The boxes have been sent off. We ask that you don't mail us anymore of these type of cards as we don't wish to keep an inventory of them going into 2015 due to the uncertainty of the troop drawdowns.
Christmas cards are due Oct. 29. If for any reason your cards won't get here before then, please contact us and let us know. Boxes will be going out Oct. 31 without exception. We currently have at least one box for every contact on our list. We appreciate all the great cards and for following our request for no more than one donated box of Christmas cards. Please stay tuned for future posts about 2015 donations. Currently our numbers drop considerably after the new year but these things can change on a daily basis.
Please don't send anymore Celebrate, Congratulations, Best Wishes, Friends, and Get Well themed cards. Our cupboards are full. And one more reminder - if the card base is dark, PLEASE put a white/cream insert inside - our soldiers need to be able to write with a pen that can be read!"
Our thanks to Susan for keeping the boxes going over and getting us on track - we can still use: Miss You, Hi/Hello, Anniversary, Wedding, Children, Masculine and Love You cards. Our next big shipment will be Valentines - we consider valentines those that say "be mine", "happy valentine's Day", etc... They will be mailed on January 2 - so please plan accordingly.
We thank ALL of our contributors - we are continuing on our mission, and know that other groups are winding down - we will forge ahead and keep supporting our troops that are still in harms way.
God Bless Our Troops, and God Bless all of our contributors. Without your help, we could not continue to send the boxes. Please, don't forget about the paypal link on the right sidebar - your monetary contribution helps us with postage!
