Boxes and boxes...

This month's meetup group made some very creative gift boxes, thanks to Pam who figured out the dimensions the "how to" to put them together.

And, how easy!  These can be made in any size.

Here are two I created:

This is the outside of the box, decorated with Very Vanilla Hodgepodge hardware, stamped image from Fresh Cuts stamp set (page 107 IBC $21.95)  The sage shadow narrow grosgrain ribbon coordinates nicely!

Inside of the box looks like this:

I just adore the smaller box I made adore and wanted to keep for myself (pictured below)!  This one is a perfect size for holding jewelry - Because of the intense floral pattern, I simply took a flower from the pretties kit, covered it with our new Platinum Shimmer Paint available in the Holiday Mini catalog beginning September 1, and attached it with a clear Rhinestone brad.

A piece of folded tissue paper and here you go:

Wouldn't you just love to be the recipient of one of these gorgeous boxes?

Scallop Box made with Big Shot

Administrative Assistant Day did not go unnoticed this year and what better way to express my gratitude to the several assistants who work for me that with a handcrafted box full of chocolate!
Made with the Big Shot Scallop die and Box die #2 (lid cut off), they were simple to create and quick to assemble.

Decorating is a breeze with all of SU!'s coordinating inks, paper and of course, all of the accessories - making the decision of what stamps and to use was easy - the Eastern Blooms stamp set coordinates well with the free designer paper I earned from Sale-A-Bration!

Here is the back of the box - the flower is simply embossed using almost amethyst craft ink and clear embossing pow der, cut out and attached with a rhinestone brad.

New Technique to me -

New to me, and I just had to try it.  Here is a stamped candle, part of the gift that I gave yesterday to my hostess as a thank you for hostessing a workshop.  Oh, I mean a party!  We have WAY too much fun to call it work!

This heart is stamped from the "Love you much" stamp set and coordinates so well with all those valentines we created yesterday.  Stamped in Basic Brown, watercolored in Riding Hood Red - and HOW EASY and quick it was to create! 

I hope that my hostess enjoys it as much as I did creating it!

Chocolate, did someone mention chocolate?

Okay, so I have to have chocolate when I stamp.  Did I mention that I DO NOT EAT CHOCOLATE as a rule?  Only when I stamp!!!  Here are 2 3-D projects featuring ... you guessed it... chocolate!!!  The "For you is one I whipped up in just a few minutes - actually I cased it from another fellow demo - I believe from Kimberley Morris - I wrote down the dimensions a few days ago then just yesterday whipped up 4 of these in just a matter of 20 minutes or so.  EASY and quick.  I made these for my downline meeting in lieu of a swap card.  Inside is a piece of GHIRADELLI chocolate.  YUMM!  I thought they may appreciate a piece of chocolate on a cold January evening!
To the right is a treat (a piece of Hershey's chocolate) wrapped up snug as a bug like a snowman - compliments of my upline, Stefanie.  She made these for Christmas and gave each of us one at our downline meeting (see, I'm not the only one thinking "chocolate"!)  Isn't he adorable?  she must have worn out her fingers punching out all those circles, squares & tags!
