One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator is the friendships that form over the years with so many of you who share a common interest - stamping! And I am fortunate to belong to an awesome group called the Bedazzlers - we met yesteday and had a great time stamping and sharing ideas.
We each brought a card to share and stamp - as we all learn from one another. The samples were donated to From Our Hearts - and will be mailed to the troops.
And easy to make! I am sharing this idea for a baby card - for those who want an easy card to make for the troops. The supplies are listed below that are needed to make this card - and can be purchased through my Stampin' Up! website (link on the right sidebar). I cannot take credit for this card - and cannot remember who brought this card! it is adorable and so quick and easy to make, especially when making more than one. And, it would look cute in pink and green, don't you think?

The following instructions make 24 cards, using 12 sheets of bashful blue. Each package of colored card stock has 24 sheets (and the whisper white has 40 sheets). The remaining sheets of colored card stock and whisper white are used on the another card that will be posted. These instructions can easily be followed to make just one card:
- Cut 12 sheets of bashful blue card stock in half, so that the card stock measures 4 1/4 x 8 1/2.
- Fold in half, and use a bone folder to crease the folded edge to get a nice folded edge. Note: Stampin' Up!® Simply Scored Scoring Tool #122334 $29.95 makes this job so very easy, especially when making many cards at one time! I recommend the Simply Scored Place Markers #125625 $2.50, too.)
- Cut 3 sheets of whisper white card stock to measure 5 1/4" x 4" (cut the 5 1/4" on the long side of the card stock). You will have 12 pieces from 3 sheets. This is the first layer.
- Using the Stripes embossing folder, emboss each of the 12 sheets of whisper white using "no tabs".
- Cut 1 sponge in quarters. Open ink up the round surface of the sponge with bashful blue ink and sponge the raised surface of the embossed white card stock.
- Cut a 6" piece of ribbon. and lay it across the front of the embossed card stock, approximately 2 1/4" inches from the bottom. Turn the piece over, and with the snail adhesive, adhere it to the back of the card stock. Flip it over, and with a piece of baker's twine, tie gather the ribbon on the left side and tie a knot. Trim the ends of the baker's twine.
- Cut 3 sheets of whisper white card stock to measure 5" x 4" to stamp the feet image (cutting on the long side of the card stock), saving the 1 1/2" ends to stamp the sayings. You will need one additional sheet or use scraps to stamp more of the sayings.
- Stamp the baby feet in bashful blue. Tear around the edges of the cardstock and sponge the edges with bashful blue. Stamp the "it's a" and "boy" separately, tearing them both out and inking the edges in daffodil delight ink.
- Adhere the baby feet image with snail adhesive.
- Position the "it's a" and "boy" near the bottom and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Adhere the entire piece to the bashful blue base.
Done! You'll have 12 sheets of bashful blue left and about 31 sheets of whisper white in your stash...
