A special card for a special young lady

A new technique for me - and one so easy to do:

This card is one I made for my granddaughter for her sweet 16th birthday - I love using yellow and orange as it is such a great summer combination and the new incolor crushed curry polka dot ribbon goes so well with these colors - This card uses Summer sun and Only Orange cardstock and inks for the flowers (with a tinge of So Saffron in flowers to blend).  Using our Many Marvelous Markers, I colored flowers directly on the stamp then spritzed lightly with water and stamped onto Confetti White cardstock.  Wow, I like the results!  The stem is colored with always artichoke, of course!  The Stamp set is the hostess Level 3 Kind and Caring Thoughts.
This technique is so easy and brings out the artist in you.  It is a "WOW" with very little effort.  Happy, happy sweet 16 to my beautiful granddaughter.  I can't wait until she receives this in the mail!
She stamps with her mom, who is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!  We have 3 generations of stampers in our family!

A cupcake for a birthday

Our very dear grandaughter is turning ... well, she may not want her age published so her card will be, instead!

Here it is - can you tell that that my stamping style is going back to the basics?  Yes, I am into clean, simple, yet elegant cards.  My time is precious, my time to stamp is limited....

This card is so easy to make - I actually stamped the cupcake image from Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set on 6 pieces and colored them with the markers so they are ready to mount onto 5 other cards when needed.  Putting the cards together is a snap.

Jessica, happy birthday!  We wish we could be with you today on your very special day.

Pacific Point/Baja Breeze Birthday...

Pacific Point and Baja Breeze are the colors used on this birthday beauty!  Add a little dazzling diamonds and this card just radiates with birthday wishes.  I love the way the ribbon is tied -
It is simple - and the paper piercing around the center image brings it all together.
This is a card I received as a swap - and I adore it!
Sometimes the simplicity of the card makes for the elegance of it.  This is one of those cards...
