As promised, I'm posting cards made at the Stampin' From the Heart for the Troops event library last Sunday - yes, it took me a little while to find the time to get these scanned in, cropped, and ready for the website!
2 different styles of cards were made, but many different variations of each were created. Here is a sampling:
First, made with a retired set called "Text & Texture" (I have the "Life is Good" decor element that coordinates with one of these stamps on my back windshield of my car!):
This is a two step stamping technique - stamped in chocolate chip and mounted on pink pirouette & chocolate chip. This card was also created in Baja Breeze (had to create his & hers for the soldiers!)
The Just Because card is made with the same stamp set, different saying. This is the Baja Breeze version. These were made in the Pink Pirouette as well.
The next two cards are a made from retired DSP and Carte Postale, a retired set (both from the last catalog). The difference between the two (besides the paper) is in the center of the medallion:
This card has a button from "button latte" collection.
The card above was made using a Rich Regal (So Saffron) brad in the center.
These are trifold cards, meaning that they open in the middle. The saying stamped inside is "just wanted to you to know how special you are", again from a very old SU! retired stamp set. I have been digging these stamp sets out and using my oldies but goodies!
Stampin' From the Heart for the Troops is a monthly event held at the Missouri River Regional Library, usually the second Sunday of the month. It is free to the public. Check my calendar of events for the next date/time - and join us for a few hours, making cards for the troops. All are donated to From Our Hearts
