These are two valentines we created at our monthly Stampers 10 club workshop. All the projects use the Love You Much valentine bundle special - the Candy Lane Designer Series paper, the new Heart to Heart Punch and The Love You Much stamp set. The first card features the most adorable penguins I have ever laid my eyes on!!!
Are they just cute or WHAT? I cannot take credit for them, though. They are the creations of another sister Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Jackie Topia. She is so, so talented!
I saw, I copied (with a minor change in colors and a tweak here and there) and I punched!
As she says, their bill looks more like a duck, but nevertheless, they are adorable!
Made with punches, punches and more punches!!! Any suggestions for making a penguin bill are most welcome. Leave your comments below!
The next card comes from inspiration from yet another VERY talented Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Gretchen Barron. Again, I changed out the colors and the ribbon, but for the most part, the layout of the card mirrors one that she created.
Can you tell that I am just smitten with pink pirouette and chocolate chip? Yes, even my wardrobe reflects these two colors of late. They just coordinate so well together.
The card ALMOST had a blue ribbon but I decided it wasn't quite wide enough. This card uses 1 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and fits just about perfectly in the silver hodgepodge hardware. The hearts are embossed with versamark and irridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder. I popped up the second heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.
At our Stampers 10 club workshop, we typically create two cards and one 3-D project, as time permits (sometimes we will only do one card if the 3-D is a bit involved). This tiny box (below), so quick and easy to make, holds 2 peppermint patties. We had fun putting them together. I think the hardest part is pulling the backing off of the velcro that holds the "lid" down!
I found pink patties dipped in dark chocolate, and wrapped in pink foil. And of course, we ate a pattie or two!
Did anyone say "chocolate"? I think we are all in agreement that stamping and chocolate go together.
It was a fun time! If you have been wondering if this club is for you, then come join us next month - for $5 you and check us out. This fee is refundable with joining our club that day and placing a qualifying purchase. Never stamped or paper crafted? This is my JOB to teach you!
